Nigel Allan: My Personal Hero

We’ve had a number of interviews with Nigel Allan, who is one of the Crypto888 Club’s most valued members and a part of the leadership that has turned a vision into a reality. Now, most of us know that every really successful businessman always has a mentor, or somebody they admire, whether it is in their own business sector or in a completely different walk of life. So we thought we’d ask Nigel Allan about the person who has inspired him the most.

Who is your biggest inspiration?

Well, I’d have to say that it’s my wife and children. They are my backbone and everything I do it’s really for them in the end, because they matter to me to the most.

What about a business hero?

There are some people that I have enormous respect for, but my ultimate hero, is without doubt Mark R. Hughes, who as you may know is the man who founded Herbalife. Sadly, he’s no longer with us, because he died at the age of 44 in May 2000. Still, his company lives on and despite some serious accusations being made about it being a pyramid scheme scam, it brings in revenues of 3.825 billion and is one of the best functioning businesses in around 91 countries, I believe.

What do you admire about Mark Hughes and Herbalife?

Well, for a start he grew it from nothing into a global brand. And he started at the age of 24. Look, he had a vision to change the way people ate and to try and improve nutrition. This was based on the personal story of his mother’s unhealthy approaches to weight loss and that’s why his first product was a protein shake that helped weight reduction. He sold it from the back of his car, and then he developed the business using a multi-level marketing model.

I admire the way he built his MLM network up by giving inspirational speeches and by personally teaching his new members how to build a team and create a network. He didn’t just sit back and assume things would just run by themselves; he was very ‘hands-on’ with his business and that’s why he made it such a success.

What else did you learn from him?

Gosh, there’s such a lot I learnt from him and to be honest I probably wouldn’t have known where to start with Crypto888’sMLM network structure if it wasn’t for all the things he taught me. Thanks to him I can say that I’ve forgotten more about network marketing than most people will ever learn.

 For example, Mark Hughes always said, “Keep it Simple” and focus on the product. And, that’s what we’ve done with Crypto888. I’m really excited about these products and as Mark also used to say 

“if you’re not excited about your product, nobody else is going to be.” 

What advice would you give to new Crypto888 members?

I’d tell them to get to know the Crypto888Club programme inside out. You have to know your product 100% and believe in it, feel passionate about it. That way you’ll inspire others and you’ll be doing valuable work growing the network – and it’s really inspiring to me and the rest of the original management team to see how fast the network has grown since we launched it.
